Thousands Attend 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS - Hundreds flooded downtown Billings for the 23rd annual Strawberry Festival Saturday.

The festival kicked off at 7:30 Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast, and at noon a 60-foot strawberry shortcake was served. Over 150 vendors were there, including live entertainment, street food, and artists. Organizers said attending the Strawberry Festival is an important tradition for many families because it has a little something for everyone.

"It's something to look forward to. There's things that you can look forward to seeing every year, you know that return. And then there's always something new too, so for families it's a chance to just do something together," said Natasha Potratz, the art and event director with the Downtown Billings Association.

According to organizers, nearly 10,000 people were expected to attend.
