Billings Clinic: Family Birth Center Expansion

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS - Billings Clinic is celebrating the expansion of its Family Birth Center with an open house Saturday.

The Center provides a comfortable environment with a much less clinical feel, offering the patient and family a home-like atmosphere.

Six new suites have been added, as well as new state-of-the-art c-section operating rooms.

Nurse Manager, Nicole Conde says a comfortable, home-like environment can reduce stress and anxiety for the mother.

"Anything you can do to reduce that patient's anxiety, for them to enjoy that experience, without being scared, is important, and technology can look scary to people. So, being able to minimize that as a distraction for them, or feeling like something is wrong, is really important for them, so that they can relax and enjoy the experience of having their baby,” says Conde.

The public is invited to the ribbon cutting, which will be followed by a question and answer session at 11:30 AM Saturday morning.
