Missoula Featured in Time Cover Story

MISSOULA -

The City of Missoula and the University of Montana are featured in an upcoming cover story on Time magazine.

But not for the rolling hills and bountiful streams.

The cover reads "Sexual Assault Crisis on American Campuses."

The article outlines the 80 reported rapes in Missoula over a three year period, two of which involved students at the University of Montana, dubbing Missoula "America's rape capital."

The article goes on to say, "The number of reported sexual assault on the UM campus is fairly average", citing research that shows "one in five women are the victim of attempted or completed sexual assault during college."

The story is scheduled to published on Monday, May 26th in print, it is now posted in full on Time.com for current subscribers.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - One man was shot and killed following a high speed pursuit that ended near the Spokane Valley Mall on Tuesday night.
