Zimmerman Trail Work Begins, Park to Reopen

BILLINGS -

Crews bring in machinery to begin work on Zimmerman Trail.

Workers installed a lower berm to catch falling rocks during the project, to protect the road and utilities beneath it. Managers estimate the entire project should be done by mid-June.

On another note, Yellowstone County's park director, Cal Cumin, says Zimmerman Park will be open again Thursday at 8:30. He says only the area where work is being done will be closed and marked by barricades. Any trespassers will be prosecuted.
