Run for Heaven's Sake

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS - When a new life is about to enter the world, you plan for a lot of things. You plan the name, plan the nursery, plan child care: the list is endless.  However, what you don't plan on is planning your child's funeral.

For millions of people across the country, planning your child's funeral is a harsh reality. Here in Montana, there's an organization whose mission is to lessen the burden of losing a child.

The Ramsey Keller Memorial pays for the funerals of all infants in Montana. As their organization grows, they depend on fundraisers to raise the money they need to pay for the funerals.

Kori and Jeff Keller founded the Memorial in honor of their daughter Ramsey and say her fighting spirit had to be remembered.

Brittany and Shane Mumm lost their daughter only months after having her.  They were helped by the Keller's Memorial and now participate in many of the fund-raising activities to help families going through what they know so well.

The race will take place May 18th at Rimrock West Park.  The half-marathon begins at 7:30 AM, followed by the 10k at 8:30 AM, and the 5k at 8:45 AM. To learn how you can register for the race, click here.
