RICHLAND, WA - A former security guard no longer works at Richland High School after school leaders investigated what they call "inappropriate interactions with students."

Dean Colbray resigned in March, about a week after the school district placed him on paid administrative leave. The investigation was centered around his cell phone, texting and the use of social media.

The district's human resources directors said they first learned of Colbray's alleged misconduct from another staff member. From there, up to five female students were interviewed as well as Dean Colbray.

Colbray admitted to texting, using Instagram and Snapchat with students. Snapchat is the app that lets a user send a picture and then it disappears. At least one female student claimed Colbray asked if he could kiss her last year. Colbray denied that ever happened. Another student told investigators that Colbray texted her a picture of him with no shirt on.

Colbray said he had spoken with a supervisor about boundary issues with students. In one interview transcript, Richland High's principal said "there are so many boundaries crossed in this," and that he was upset as both a principal and a father.

Colbray resigned on March 14th, ending the investigation. There were no criminal charges filed.
