War of the Walls Voting Starts

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS - MasterLube stores in Billings and Laurel are showing off the artistic talents of high school students.

Every year, a student from each of the high schools is chosen to paint a mural on a MasterLube store. The public is then invited to vote on MasterLube's facebook page for their favorite. The winner receives a traveling trophy and bragging rights for the year. Voting closes at Noon May 14th and they'll announce the winner Friday, May 16th.

The War of the Walls is part of the company's Grad Day Fundraising event for the high schools drug and alcohol free graduation celebrations. The fundraising event this year is May 17th from 7 AM to 6 PM. Each high school will adopt a MasterLube location and proceeds from oil changes that day will go to that school's graduation party fund.

Much of northwest Wyoming is a high desert, but most people don’t use rain barrels to conserve water. Cody’s Nature Conservancy wants to change that, with a rain barrel auction at its second annual Wild West Riverfest in Cody.

Can you imagine building a hotel by stacking one floor on top of another? That’s what’s happening in Yellowstone. The Park’s lodging concessionaire, Xanterra, tore out hundreds of old cabins in Canyon Village, and started construction this summer on five new lodges to replace them. The new lodges are actually modular jigsaw puzzles.
