MSUB Commence Speaker Hopes to Inspire

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS - An award-winning journalist will be speaking at MSU Billings' commencement ceremony Saturday.

Norm Clarke started out as a sports editor at the Billings Gazette, and then worked for the Associated Press, covering historical moments like Hank Aaron's 714th home run, when he tied Babe Ruth's record. Clarke now works for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

He said his speech is going to be a personal one with the graduates, talking about the many life lessons he's learned during turning points in his career.

"I hope to use some of those stories to inspire these young graduates knowing that it doesn't matter where you grow up, we can all do inspiring things, amazing things," he said.

Commencement starts at 10 AM Saturday at MetraPark's Rimrock Auto Arena. If you would like to watch from home, MSUB will live stream the ceremony at msubillings.edu/commencement.

Graduation for Rocky Mountain College is Saturday too. It starts at one in the afternoon.
