An effort to save a portion of a factory where "Rosie the Riveters" worked during World War Two is quickly running out of time. The Save the Willow Run Bomber Plant campaign has raised seven million dollars, but must raise another million by Thursday. The money would be used to buy part of the factory where B-24 Liberator bombers were built. Over 18,000 B-24's were built during the war. Around half of the Liberators came from the Willow Run plant.
Save the Willow Run Bomber Plant campaign hopes to turn the Michigan site into a museum. It would be run by the Yankee Air Museum.
