BILLINGS -  A woman convicted of killing her husband and his lover in Helena is suing the Gallatin County Detention Center.

Michelle Coller Gable, 50, is seeking $100,000 in compensation, because she claims she was discriminated against due to her disability before her conviction. Gable was sentenced to 200 years in prison for the 2011 shooting deaths of her estranged husband, Joseph Gable, and his lover, Sunday Bennet.

The shootings occurred just days after Joseph Gable filed for divorce. Gable claims she was denied use of a wheelchair and forced to use a walker. She said jailers retaliated against her complaints by taking away her mattress pad and other items. Gallatin County Attorney, Marty Lambert, declined to comment in the matter.
