BILLINGS -

There's big news for veterans in eastern Montana.

The new $6.3 million VA clinic, located off of Majestic Lane in Billings, is open to the public. It's expected to serve about 12,000 veterans from Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota. The facility will offer mental health care, outpatient surgery, dental, physical and occupational therapies, and eye care.

Christine Gregory, the director of VA Montana Health Care, said the new clinic will be a one-stop shop for veterans.

"Sometimes meeting the needs of veterans in frontier and rural areas is difficult. This facility, the addition of this facility helps us do that," said Gregory.

A dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the clinic takes place Friday at 11 a.m.
