BILLINGS -

The suspect in the Lockwood home invasion case pleads not guilty in court Tuesday.

Lester McFerran, 36, is charged with burglary and attempted kidnapping. McFerran was arrested March 28 after the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office released a composite sketch.

Court documents indicate the victim's parent left around 5 AM for work. Shortly after, the 13-year-old daughter woke up to a man sitting on her bed with a pair of handcuffs with the man telling her not to move.

When the man grabbed her wrist, she began kicking and he ran from the bedroom. Investigators say the daughter identified McFerran in a line-up and told detectives he was at their front door the previous morning.
