Cabela's Hosts Ladies' Day Out

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Several ladies turned out at Cabela's Saturday for a Ladies' Day Out.

The annual Ladies' Day Out event lasted most of the day and was organized to encourage the growing number of women enjoying the outdoors. It featured free hands-on activities, including fly-fishing, rock climbing, trailer backing, and tent setting.

Cabela's marketing manager Cody Cass said the event was a great way to start spring.

"We're seeing more and more women with an interest in the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, camping, hiking. We feel it's very important not only to just to sell a product, but also train people in how to use them and how to have fun with them. It's no fun if you go out camping or hiking or fishing, and you don't know how to use the equipment. It's just a day for everybody to relax, have fun, and learn how to master a new skill," Cass said.

Ladies' Day Out is hosted twice a year at Cabela's. The next date is scheduled for early October.
