Police Warn Against Scam

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Billings police wants to warn you about two scams.

In one con police Lieutenant Kevin Iffland says a person will call claiming they work for the police department. The person will then say there's a warrant for your arrest, and if you want to avoid getting arrested, you need to pay cash directly.

In the other scam, Iffland says someone will call claiming to be with Montana Dakota Utilities and your bill is over due. Then you must pay a certain amount to avoid having your utilities turned off.
