100 Inches of Snow

BILLINGS, Mont. -

It's official! On Monday, the Magic City set a new record for snow.

As of 6 AM, Billings reached exactly 100 inches of snowfall for the year.

The closest we have been to seeing this much snow was in 1996, when we totaled just less than 99 inches.

Meteorologist Joe Lester, with the National Weather Service, says that it is very possible we could see even more snow in 2014.

Billings averages ten inches after April first to the end of the year.
