Elysian School Breaks Ground on New Facility

Elysian School broke ground Friday on their new expansion project -- a two-story elementary school and new middle school building.

This is the result of a $10 million bond that passed in spring of 2013. The current elementary school will be remodeled into a new middle school. Superintendent Barbara Frank said the new facilities will better allow them to offer a higher-quality education.

"We are literally on top of each other. There's not a closet left in our building, so the thought of having space to move and grow and expand and do fun things is so exciting and is what's carrying us through these difficult times of being on top of each other," Frank said.
