Massive Fire on Billings Southside

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

A massive fire broke out about 8 o'clock Friday evening at J.P. Enterprises on First Avenue South and S. 32nd Street.

A total of about 18 firefighters battled the blaze.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The Billings Fire Chief Paul Dextras says crews will be on the scene overnight.

When fire crews arrived, the first building was fully involved.  The chief says the heat and wind spread the fire quickly to the two other buildings.

He says they made a stop on the fire to keep it from spreading.

"I'm really proud of these guys, I tell you, they do a great job. It is inclement out here. They are throwing an awful lot of water. They're wet, but boy there is no quit in them. They made a really good stop after the third exposure."

Stay tuned to KULR-8 News for more on the fire.
