Demolition Work Continues on Old Library

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

Work continues on the demolition of the old Parmly Billings Library. The work inside began several weeks ago. Now, crews are getting the building ready to tear it down.

Bill Cochran, the Director of the library, says crews will begin knocking down the north side of the old library in about a week-and-a-half. He says it will take between two to four weeks for the building to be completely demolished. After that, the company doing all of the work has until the end of June to finish the new parking lot and landscaping.

About 100 parking spaces will be available when the project is done.
