Archie Manning Talks About Leadership

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

A big name in football was in town Thursday. The Billings Chamber of Commerce annual Salesperson's Breakfast featured Archie Manning.

Manning is the father of Eli and Peyton Manning and played quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. He talked about his family and experience in the NFL and provided lessons in leadership to the more than 1,500 attendees.

"There's a lot of value there in things you learn about overcoming adversity and leadership and those types of things that you apply in business," Manning said. "So, just recently, kind of with what's going on around the world and what's going on in the country, I think leadership is vital."

John Brewer, Billings Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, said Billings is quickly becoming an urban center.

"Folks like Archie Manning and other sales leaders are helping us as a community look at the big picture and see what kind of goals and inspiration can be provided to get us to the next level as a community too," he said.

The Salesperson's Breakfast is the chamber's longest running annual event.
