Annual Shamrock Run is Successful

Irish men and women say St. Patrick's Day is the time to transform winter's dreams into summer's magic.

At Pioneer Park, runners go the best of both seasons during the annual Shamrock Run. Several Runners dressed in green costumes with friends, family and pets to participate. Runners said the run is a fun way to help prepare for the upcoming competitions. "It's a lot of fun to see all the costumes. People tend to have a lot of fun with this run. it's just a fun day to get out, and it's just a fund day to get out and run before going to Saint Patrick's day Parties," 5K Runner, Lindsay Blackburn said.

The annual run kicked off at 1:00 PM and lasted for nearly one hour.
