BILLINGS -

Lately it's been very cold in Montana, but the Treasure State leads in a different type of cold, the sick kind.

According to a Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, Montana ranks first for the common cold.

8.2% of Montanans said they had a cold on any given day last year.

The next closest state was Oregon at 7.7%.

But when it comes to the flu, Montana was on the low end in the nation with only 1.6% saying they got the flu last year.
