Billings Depot Hosts Bridal Event

BILLINGS -

Dozens of brides flocked to the Billings Depot today for the third annual "Unveiled" Bridal Event.

The event was from noon to 4p.m., offering free wedding planning classes and a $1,000 giveaway. It was also a place for soon-to-be newlyweds to meet local vendors, including florists, photographers, and caterers.

Organizer Jennifer Mercer said it's important to get to know and have a good relationship with the people you'll be working with on your wedding day.

"Brides a lot of times will come in feeling kind of overwhelmed because there's so much left to do, and when they leave here, they've got to connect. They found that perfect florist. They found that perfect photographer, and it checks some of those major boxes that makes planning a lot easier for them," said Mercer.

Can you imagine building a hotel by stacking one floor on top of another? That’s what’s happening in Yellowstone. The Park’s lodging concessionaire, Xanterra, tore out hundreds of old cabins in Canyon Village, and started construction this summer on five new lodges to replace them. The new lodges are actually modular jigsaw puzzles.
