UPDATE: We are learning more about the victims on Friday's urban avalanche in Missoula.

The couple pulled from their home has been identified as Fred Allendorf and his wife, Michel Jo Cloville. Officials at ST. Patrick Hospital in Missoula say Cloville is still in critical condition while Allendorf's condition has improved to serious.

An 8-year-old boy was also pulled from the rubble Friday. He was listed in fair condition.

Allendorf is listed as Regents Professor Emeritus at the University of Montana. His profile says he studies population genetics, conservation biology and conservation genetics.

UPDATE: KTMF, our sister station in Missoula, has confirmed the female resident of the home destroyed by an avalanche has been recovered and transported to St. Patrick's Hospital. All 3 victims of the avalanche are now out and accounted for.

UPDATE: Associated Press is reporting an elderly man and an 8-year-old boy have been found alive after an avalanche destroyed a house in the western Montana city of Missoula, but a woman is still missing.
    
Police Sgt. Travis Welsh says the man and the boy were taken to a hospital after the Friday avalanche. Their conditions weren't known, but Welsh says the man was talking with rescuers.
    
Welsh says the man and the missing woman lived in the home that was destroyed, but police don't know if the boy lived there.
 

UPDATE: KTMF is now reporting one resident of the home destroyed by the avalanche has been recovered and taken to the hospital. Crews are currently working to recover a second resident of the home.

UPDATE: KTMF has confirmed the child buried in the avalanche has been recovered and is en route to the hospital.

UPDATE: The Missoula County Sheriff's twitter now reports they are searching for two elderly residents caught in the avalanche.

MISSOULA - Missoula Police officials confirm there has been an avalanche in the Rattlesnake on Holly Street. A house has been destroyed and an 8-year-old is buried, a power line is down and a gas leak has occurred.
