Two Injured in Crash North of Billings

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

Two people are taken to the hospital after a crash north of Billings Thursday morning. Montana Highway Patrol says the collision happened shortly before 10:30 on Highway 87 at Mile Marker 14. Troopers say a woman from Roundup driving a 2000 Ford Ranger was going south on 87, lost control on the icy road and hit a 1997 Ford Pickup truck going North.

Montana Highway Patrol Captain Keith Edgell says, "The maroon Ranger broad sided the Ford pickup and pushed it off onto the right shoulder of the highway tipping over the four wheelers and trailer that were attached to it."

Captain Edgell says the passenger in the Ford Ranger was airlifted to a hospital because of concern over his age and whether or not he had internal injuries. The driver of the Ford Ranger was taken by ambulance to a hospital with minor injuries. Edgell says the three people in the Ford pickup were not injured.
