Laurel Suspects Expected in Court Wednesday

LAUREL -

The two suspects from the officer-involved shooting and car chase in Laurel are expected to appear in court Wednesday.

Yellowstone County Attorney Scott Twito says Hayden Lowry is the suspect who was shot in the hand, as he got into a car to flee. Lowry and Austin Allery were arrested in Laurel yesterday.

Documents filed today show the two fled after providing false identities to police at the Laurel Walmart. Police say they caught Allery as he tried to take off in a police car. Documents show the damage to the police car was about $1,500.

Lowry allegedly stole a truck at gunpoint, and drove away at high speeds until he hit spike strips. Lowry was arrested after he crashed the vehicle on Old Highway 10.
