Students Give Back

Posted: Updated:

A group of students are rallying to help others take a better step in the right direction.

Meadowlark Elementary Fourth Graders are gathering shoes to donate to people in need. At last count, the class has gathered nearly 165 bags of shoes, and they hope to reach 300. Fourth grader, Nate O'Neil, said if they reach their goal, $3,000 will be donated to bring in new classroom technology. "The smartboards help classes with what they need to do, and people don't need to be crowded around computers, and they can get what they need to learn right in front of the class," Nate O'Neil said.

Nate said if you would like to contribute to the cause, you can drop off new or used shoes to the Meadowlark Elementary School.
