Yellowstone County Commissioners present checks totaling more than $300,000 to several organizations. The money was from a settlement with CHS Refinery to end a dispute over the county's property tax valuation. CHS protested $16 million in property taxes from 2009 to 2012. The company received $4 million back as a part of the settlement. Some of the money was given to four organizations on Tuesday. The Mental Health Center received $27,405.85, the Community Crisis Center received $61,591.61, the Billings Public Library received $140,977.86, and the Adult Resource Alliance received $73,898.66.
