BILLINGS -

The woman accused of setting her house on fire with a propellant appears in court Thursday.

Hermalinda Ramirez is charged with arson and two counts of assault with a weapon. Billings Police say she admitted to burning her own house last night.

Firefighters were called to the home on Buchanan Avenue just after 6:30 Wednesday night.

Court documents show Ramirez had a metal pipe wrench in her bag. She told police she got angry after thinking people stole from her, so she went to a Conoco store and purchased a gallon of gas to pour around the house.

A police investigation shows Ramirez went to her sister's house after and threatened to hit her sister and nephew with the metal wrench.
