Charter Explains Slow Internet

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

If you get Internet through Charter, you might have noticed it's a little slow lately.

Brian Anderson with Charter says malware that infected computers at a business in Colorado and a home in Wyoming caused the slowdown across the company's network. Anderson says the company first discovered the problem Tuesday morning and began looking for the source and then isolated the infected computers from the network. He says there's no evidence to believe it was an attack on Charter and that it serves as a reminder everyone should keep cyber security software up-to-date.

Customers in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado felt the slow down which Anderson says should no longer be a problem.
