Eleventh Souper Bowl Fundraiser

BILLINGS -

Angela's Piazza hosted its eleventh annual Souper Bowl fundraiser Friday.

Their take on the Super Bowl is a way for the non-profit organization to raise money for their ongoing programs supporting women and children affected by domestic violence and financial hardships. Sister Mary Dostal says that the Souper bowl has been a great way to get people together supporting their community.

"You know, in the middle of the winter, to come get some good hot soup and bread and yet you feel like your doing something to help others in the community that don't have as much," said Sister Dostal, Angela's Piazza's co-director. "I think that's why people come to the Souper Bowl."

Soup, bread, pottery and bowls were all donated by local restaurants and businesses. For twenty-five dollars, participants received a bowl of soup and a piece of pottery. Dostal says that more and more restaurants are participating each year and the pottery never fails to impress.
