Best Friends Prepare for Super Bowl

BILLINGS -

It's a trip of a lifetime. Two Billings best friends are preparing for an all-expense paid weekend to watch the 48th Super Bowl in New York City. The two friends are still in shock for winning the trip.

Amanda Campbell and Tessa Sorenson watched football at Hooligan's sports bar every Sunday, Monday and Thursday for four months to win the nearly $16,000 prize. "I screamed a lot. At first when I opened my package it was an extra large Fireball shirt, and I was pretty disappointed. Then, I kept looking and saw the certificate, and then I screamed a lot," Campbell said.

Amanda was among nearly 1,500 contestants who entered the drawing. Even though she's not a Broncos or Seahawks fan, she's still excited. "First NFL game ever, and it's the Super Bowl. It's so exciting. The only thing that would be better is that if the Chargers were playing," Campbell said.

After winning the two tickets on Saturday, Amanda said picking her best friend to come along seemed like the best choice. "I knew I was going along from the get-go. It was a lot of screaming. A lot of jumping up and down. It was kind of unbelievable," Tessa Sorenson said.

Tessa said she started the football season, not knowing anything about the sport, but with Amanda's help she's getting an end zone seat to see what it's all about. "I don't even have words for what it's like. It's just surreal that we're going to be able to go to the Super Bowl, and it's my first NFL game ever. That never happens to anybody. Its awesome," Tessa said.

On top of two Super Bowl tickets, Hooligan's owner Sean Graves included lodging, tickets to a Broadway Play, and passes to a few exclusive parties. At last word, Amanda and Tessa leave the Thursday before the Super Bowl and will fly home on Monday.
