Science Expo Workshop Prepares Students

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

The Billings Clinic Science Expo is right around the corner and hospital workers hold a workshop to prepare students.

Speakers taught students about the scientific method and engineering process to assist with their ideas. Expo organizers invite students from Billings and surrounding areas from first grade to high school to participate.

"Scientists are pretty persistent," said Pat Lowthian, McKinley School teacher. "And so even the whole idea of being persistent and not giving up on yourself, be willing to keep going, it develops that idea in kids to wonder, question, and have that tenacity to just keep going until they find the answer."

Organizers say the deadline for high school students is February 7. For elementary and middle school students, it's February 21st. The expo takes place March 28 and 29.
