Park County Body Investigation Update

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

The Park County Sheriff's Office is reaching out to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies as investigators work to identify a man whose decapitated body was found last week in a rural area northwest of Powell. Sheriff Scott Steward says his agency has contacted Interpol, the U.S. Border Patrol and police departments in Wyoming and Montana. The body was found last Thursday on Little Sand Coulee Road.

Steward says there are several rumors going around about possible motives for the crime, but he says right now the department is focused on identifying the victim and possible suspects. He says speculation without supporting evidence could hinder the investigation at this point. He has scheduled a press conference for Monday morning to provide updates on the case and answer questions, but promises to immediately release any information that will enhance public safety in the meantime. If you have any information that could assist in the investigation, please call 307-527-8700.

Susanne Rodell faced a difficult situation. Hail storm damage to her roof led to an insurance claim being filed. Rodell picked a local contractor to fix her roof, but mother nature did not cooperate. While the roofing company was in the middle of fixing her roof, a weekend of rain caused water damage to dry wall and ceilings within the house.
