Rocky Student's Complaint Moved

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

A Rocky Mountain College student's complaint against the school is moved back to district court.

Hannah Valdez is an art student with disabilities, which she said prevented her from passing two required math courses to graduate. According to court documents, Valdez said she was discriminated against, and the school was negligent. Valdez said educators failed to explain she would not be able to substitute other completed courses for the math classes, and Rocky did not provide reasonable accommodations for her disability. Court records suggest Valdez is hoping Rocky will substitute classes she has already taken and be given compensation.
