A Billings man denies killing a woman in the Heights in December.

Richard Reinert, 27, pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide in front of Judge G. Todd Baugh Monday morning. Judge Baugh set Reinert's trial for a later date, and continued his bond at $750,000.

According to documents, Reinert shot 25-year-old Jessica Stephenson of Joliet on December 21st, while she was on the phone with 911. Police said Stephenson was calling to get help putting her friend's intoxicated husband to bed. Authorities said the entire altercation was recorded during the 911 call.
