Wind Chill Warning in Place

BILLINGS -

Northeastern Montana remains under a wind chill warning with wind chills dropping to 59 degrees below zero.

According to Meteorologist Patrick Gilchrist with the National Weather Service in Glasgow, below freezing temperatures combined with 30 mph gusts create dangerous conditions. Gilchrist reports it's unusual to have strong winds and frigid temperatures at the same time, even though the area is known for it's Arctic blasts.

Temperatures are forecasted to drop even more on Monday, but winds are expected to let up. If you plan on traveling through the area, please be prepared.
