Holiday Business for Hotels

BILLINGS -

Though winter is usually a slower season, hotel managers say they saw a good December.

Shelli Mann, general manager at the Boothill Inn, says the Chase Hawks Rodeo helped fill their capacity and Downtown hotels saw a boost from the Downtown New Year's celebration. Mann says during the winter, most of the people are coming from the region to Billings.

"We see a lot of people coming into Billings as basically the Trailhead," Mann said. "They're coming into Billings and from here they're flying to various places for their Christmas break so that is good for business as well."

Mann also attributes the good month to the partnerships with other businesses like MetraPark or the Alberta Bair Theater because the organizations bring special events to the Magic City.
