Hundreds Helped Through Toys for Tots

BILLINGS -

Thanks to you hundreds of families and organizations that help kids had a very merry Christmas this year. Local Toys for Tots organizers say they were able to support more than 800 families and organizations in 2013. Sergeant Milton Candelaria, the local coordinator, says organizers hosted more than 45 events this year and collected more than 16,000 toys and nearly $24,000 in donations. Candelaria says, "Just appreciate everything the support this year was great. Those tons of events that we did and having everybody come out and donate cash, toys, it was just very helpful. Just love the community." The Marine Corp staff plans on starting earlier next year with a Toys for Tots run, which was canceled this year due to weather.
