VITA Needs Volunteers

Posted: Updated:

If you want to learn how to prepare taxes, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is back and needs volunteers.

VITA helps community members with low- to moderate-income by preparing their tax returns for free. The program trains either business professionals or people with no experience to prepare tax returns.

"We are doing most of our training next month and we will be open the end of January through the end of tax season to provide tax help and prepare taxes for families that make $52,000 or less," said Tabatha Butler, HRDC assistant VITA program manager.

Tax assistance is provided at:

HRDC, Starting January 28

Wednesday, Thursday 2 PM - 8 PM

Friday 2 PM - 5 PM

Billings Public Library, Starting February 1

Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM

You can also call 406-247-4710 to make appointments.
