A 27-year-old man is ordered jail time and to write: "boys do not hit girls."

Pacer Ferguson appeared before Judge G. Todd Baugh for the misdemeanor assault conviction of punching his girlfriend during a fight in August. According to court documents, Ferguson admitted to fracturing his girlfriend's skull in three places. On Monday, Judge Baugh ordered Ferguson to write "boys do not hit girls" 5,000 times, pay nearly $3,800 in restitution, and serve six months at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility. Ferguson has until May to mail his letter to Judge Baugh.
