St. Vincent de Paul Hosts Christmas Lunch

BILLINGS -

St. Vincent de Paul brought Christmas to those without a home.

The Sisters of Charity and Associates hosted its annual Christmas lunch. Hundreds showed up for a hot meal and some Christmas joy. Volunteers say the event allows the homeless to celebrate with people they consider family.

"It's hard to explain the feeling you have when you have someone come up to you and hug you and thank you because they don't think anyone cares," said Mark Smith, St. Vincent de Paul resource worker. "And there's a lot of people in the community thanks to our donations to reach out to these people."

Santa Claus stopped by for the lunch too. He passed out gifts donated by community members.
