Delivering Toys to Pediatric Patients

BILLINGS -

Marines paid a visit to St. Vincent Healthcare to bring Christmas cheer to pediatric patients.

After receiving a list, Toys for Tots volunteers wrapped and delivered gifts for dozens of children staying in Pediatrics at the hospital. Sgt. Milton Candelaria said it's important to bring joy to these children.

"They're down right now," he said. "At that point, everything's just like, they're sad. They're at the hospital. They're not with family, their friends, and so just trying to bring them Christmas to make at least this little bit of time that they're here happy."

Each child received three gifts. Volunteers wrapped them all to give kids the joy of tearing off the paper.

If you would like to help other children in the county, Toys for Tots is having a 24 hour toy drive Saturday at MetraPark starting at 3 PM.
