Angel Tree Ceremony Honors Officers

BILLINGS -

The Yellowstone County DUI Task Force hosted its annual Angel Tree and Award of Merit Ceremony on Thursday.

This year's tree had two angels added honoring the memory of Muriel and Thomas Alderson, who lost their lives in an alcohol related car crash.

Law enforcement officers from across the state were also given awards commemorating their fight in pursuing DUI offenders.

"It's not just the officers on the street that you see. It's the jail staff. It's the nurses that do the blood draws for the people that refuse. It's the administrators of the 24/7 program. It's the judges, it's the clerks, it's everybody, it's hundreds of people, not just the handful of officers out on the street that you're seeing making the arrests," said Laurel Police Officer, Fred Gregory, who was awarded for 47 DUI arrests so far in 2013.
