The Billings Downtown Exchange Club delivers gifts to a few elementary schools in Billings with the help of Santa.

The Exchange Club gave 500 presents to students in kindergarten through 2nd grade at Orchard, Newman, and Ponderosa Elementary Schools.

Club members were able to buy the gifts through fundraising, and Wal-mart pitched in too.

"Our mission at the Exchange Club is child abuse prevention, and that's why we do what we do. So, we raise money all year long, and one of the fun things at the end of the year is we get to give away presents at three of the neediest schools," said Melodie McDermott with the Downtown Exchange Club.

"It really is a blessing to the kids, and it's important for them to see that community service, and that spirit of the holidays, and being able to give rather than just focusing on receiving," said Chad Jackson, Ponderosa School Counselor.

The Exchange Club spent last night wrapping the presents. Members where thrilled to see the students quickly open their gifts.
