Colstrip Power Plant Lawsuit Dismissed

HELENA -

A federal judge dismisses a lawsuit between PPL Montana and the Environmental Protection Agency after both parties reached a settlement agreement.

Earlier this year, the Colstrip power plant came under fire from environmental groups. Two environmental groups requested a list of capital improvements PPL Montana made to the Colstrip plant. The company sued the EPA to prevent releasing the information.

Both sides reached an agreement last month. PPL released most of the requested data, showing the company spent more than $127 million over eight years in capital improvements.
