Yellow Cab Gets Seven New Taxis

BILLINGS -

Billings Yellow Cab representatives say the city should expect to see a lot more yellow on the streets. The company got seven new cabs Monday.

The new cabs are the same cars New York ordered: 2014 Nissan NV 200s. Company representatives say they bought the vans because they're designed specifically to be taxis. The cars come with built-in cab features, such as cell phone charging ports, entertainment, and GPS navigation.

"It's just kind of cool to know that Billings, MT has almost the same amount of those that New York City has at this time," said Bob Young, Billings Yellow Cab CEO. "Although New York City will get 10 thousand more and we won't in Montana, but we're right there with them and can share the same safety features that the rider-ship in New York shares."

Billings Yellow Cab plans to get a second shipment of eight more new cabs by early 2014. They will change the designs on the cars for Billings and be put into use on Wednesday.
