State Funding For Pre-K

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

A big change could be in store for families who have kids nearing pre-school age.

The Montana Budget and Policy Center released a report detailing a non-partisan policy that could lead to the formation of a state funded pre-school plan.

"Children are one of Montana's best investments, and universal pre-school would be an excellent way to not only improve the lives of children in our state, but to secure a strong future for our state," said Montana Budget and Policy Center Analyst, Jackie Semmens.

Right now, Montana is one of only ten states that does not offer any form of pre-k state funding.
