Thousands Raised To Help Ranchers

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

A $35,000 gift to help ranchers affected by a winter storm in October, has turned into more than half-a-million dollars in help.

First Interstate Bank bought calves that were auctioned off multiple times in several states, including Montana and Wyoming.

$478,000 was raised during the rollover auctions, and with other donations the total reached $520,000.

The money raised goes to the South Dakota Rancher Relief Fund, which was started to help ranchers in South Dakota that lost thousands of cattle in a blizzard in October.
