BILLINGS -

Billings Police are investigating a string of robberies Tuesday evening.

Police say just before four this afternoon, Short Stop Convenience store was robbed. They report the suspect pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at a clerk, took an undisclosed amount of cash, and took off on foot. The suspect is described as 5'10" with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black mask, black coat over brown bibs and black boots.

Police also are reporting Papa John's on 24th Street West and Subway on the 1000 block of Central Avenue were robbed. Investigators describe the suspect as a black male between 20 to 30 years old, 5'10", and 250 pounds. He reportedly was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, dark ski mask, black pants, and a dark blue or black coat. He displayed a black handgun at the employees

Police are saying the Papa John's and Subway robberies are not connected to the Short Stop convenience store robbery earlier Tuesday.

Susanne Rodell faced a difficult situation. Hail storm damage to her roof led to an insurance claim being filed. Rodell picked a local contractor to fix her roof, but mother nature did not cooperate. While the roofing company was in the middle of fixing her roof, a weekend of rain caused water damage to dry wall and ceilings within the house.
