An 18-year old is in custody after allegedly stealing a car and using it to drive into the front of a tobacco store. A little after midnight Tuesday, Billings police responded to a business alarm at Cold Smoke Tobacco on Grand Avenue. They found a man in the store and chased him to his vehicle. He fled the scene, but officers found the vehicle crashed a few blocks away at an apartment complex on the 1200 block of Wyoming Avenue. After a short foot pursuit, officers caught the suspect on Broadwater Avenue. Police have identified the suspect as Alex Hulteng of Billings. He is facing charges of obstructing a peace officer, felony motor vehicle theft, felony criminal mischief and reckless driving.
